PASSIONATE. PATIENT. PERSISTENT.

Welcome to Miss Behaviour, where a lifelong love for animals meets a passion for understanding and improving canine behaviour. Meet Miss B, the driving force behind this endeavor, and a Certified Canine Behaviour Trainer with a heart dedicated to rescue advocacy and positive training methods.

My journey into the world of animal welfare began in 2007, when I first stepped into the role of volunteer, foster, and former board member for an animal rescue organization in the Edmonton area. However, there was a pivotal moment in 2016, while volunteering at the animal reunification centre during the FMM wildfires, that changed my trajectory and solidified my dedication to this cause. Through this experience, I found my calling with Zoe’s Animal Rescue Society, where I officially became a volunteer and foster and further embraced the ethos of compassion and care for animals in need in our community.

Throughout my journey, I have rescued dozens of animals and through these experiences, have been compelled to delve deep into understanding canine behaviour. My dedication to ensuring the well-being of a litter of eight puppies and their mother, rescued from deplorable conditions in 2019, led me to further explore evidence-based training methodologies. Enrolling in the K9 Misfits Canine Behaviour and Training Methodology program, I immersed myself in fear-free, force-free training methods, graduating with a wealth of knowledge and a commitment to applying these principles in my work in rescue and training.

As a proud member of the Alberta Force Free Alliance, the Pet Professionals Guild, and the Shock-Free Coalition, I uphold the standards of ethical and humane treatment in my practice. In 2019, I founded Miss Behaviour, and continue to grow this platform not only for providing fear-free, force-free training and guidance, but also for creating fun and engaging pet-related products.

Today, I continue to offer private and group training, drawing on my expertise to educate dog owners on understanding their furry companions better. My approach is centered on building trust, communication, and a deep connection with dogs, rooted in mutual respect and choice.

Join me at Miss Behaviour, where every wag of the tail is a testament to the power of positive reinforcement and the unbreakable bond between humans and their canine companions! 🐾
